The agency and its Nepalese team
Namaste, and welcome to Nepal Yetiraj Treks!
I am Dipak Pangeni, founder of Nepal Yetiraj Treks, and I welcome you to explore the spectacular trails and landscapes of Nepal and the Himalayas together.
Originally from Chormara, a village in the southern plains of Nepal known as the Terai, my adventure in the world of trekking began in my childhood. I have always been fascinated by the mountains, and for over two decades, I have had the privilege of guiding travelers from all over the world, including French and English-speaking hikers.
Like many in the trekking community, I started learning my trade very early, first as a young porter, before becoming an assistant guide and finally a certified trekking guide. For several years, I worked with a renowned French-speaking agency in Kathmandu, gaining valuable experience and building bonds of trust and mutual respect with travelers, guides, porters, cooks, and local providers (hotels, guesthouses, transporters, etc.). Encouraged by these friendships and the loyalty of my clients, I decided to offer a more personalized, ethical, and enriching experience to adventurers seeking the authentic essence of Nepal. That is how Nepal Yetiraj Treks was born!
Why the name YETIRAJ?
Yetiraj is my first name—the religious name given to me by the priest at birth. It means King (Raj) of the Yeti. A religious name provides many clues about a person’s life. My parents later gave me the name Dipak (also written Deepak), which is more commonly used.
The Yeti is also known as the legendary Abominable Snowman… but rest assured, I am a friendly little Yeti and you can walk in my footsteps without fear!
Our 100% local team will help you discover Nepal with a smile!
We are proud of our experienced, professional, and passionate team. For Nepal Yetiraj Treks, trekking is not just a business activity; it is a true philosophy of life, built on trust, teamwork, and an unconditional love for the mountains.

- We adapt the level and itinerary of the treks based on the pace and ability of each of our clients.
Our flexibility ensures that each of you feels comfortable during your trek.
Exchange, understanding, and mutual respect
Nepal is a land of diverse cultures, ancestral traditions, and warm hospitality. As trekking guides, we aim to build bridges between cultures and allow you to discover Nepalese heritage in an authentic and respectful way.
Traveling in a foreign country can sometimes lead to misunderstandings due to cultural differences. We make sure you feel at ease by explaining local customs, etiquette, and traditions, so that your stay goes as smoothly as possible through exchange, tolerance, and mutual respect.
Fair tourism
Tourism plays an essential role in supporting local economies, and we are very grateful for the work you create. We ensure that:
- Porters and guides receive fair wages, commensurate with their hard work and dedication.
- Eco-responsible trekking practices are followed to preserve Nepal’s fragile environment.
- Your contributions benefit local businesses, including lodges, host families, and transport services.
However, in everyone’s interest, we remain mindful that tourism maintains a human and respectful dimension—whether in terms of the price asked of the traveler or the wages of local providers—for ecological balance and local cultural heritage.
Nepal Yetiraj Treks therefore ensures we offer you a reasonable price, fairly value the work done by providers, and respect nature and local customs.
Your satisfaction is our pride
Your satisfaction is a recognition of our work and a shared joy, as we take pride in a job well done. You encourage us to do even better and to keep improving. It is therefore important for us to hear your feedback and advice after your stay.
